Cobb Teaching and Learning Standards Training: Phase 2

Please join us for Phase 2: Supporting Balanced Instruction for CT&LS in Science either via webinar or a face-to-face workshop. We will focus on:

• Engaging teachers in the balanced science instruction featuring the integration of core ideas, science and engineering practices, and crosscutting concepts
• Targeting core concepts
• Using scientific phenomena to build coherence
• Practicing model lessons developed to support balanced instruction

The webinar will take place on Tuesday, November 29th at 3:00 pm for elementary school teachers and 4:30 pm for middle and high school teachers. To join the session, click the link below:

The face-to-face workshop will be a dynamic afternoon of learning-by-doing as we practice a model lesson. It will take place on Thursday, December 8th from 3:15 to 4:45 for elementary teachers and from 5:00 to 6:30 for middle and high school teachers.  Sessions will take place at Hawthorne Learning Center in Smyrna and Big Shanty Elementary in Kennesaw. Elementary sessions will include a combination of science and social studies.
