Winter Weather Update
Based on the winter storm warning from the National Weather Service and Gov. Kemp declaring a state of emergency, all extracurricular activities and athletics scheduled for Saturday, January 31, and Sunday, February 1, are canceled. With the potential for snow, well below-freezing temperatures, and slick roads, we’re making this call now so families and staff can plan and stay safe.
We will update this page with more information when it is available.

2026 Cobb/Paulding Regional Science Fair The 2026 Cobb-Paulding Regional Science Fair will take place on Saturday, January 31, 2026 from 8:00 am-4:00 pm. Who: Students who advance from local school fairs participate in the Cobb/Paulding Regional Science Fair. When: January 31, 2026 from 8:00 am-4:00 pm Where: Lovinggood MS: 3825 Luther Ward Rd., Powder Springs, GA 30127. Please note that your project must obtain proper approval before the research (project) is started and may require other important forms which can be found here. Per Georgia Science and Engineering Fair rules, middle and high school home-school/cyber students who reside in Cobb or Paulding Counties must participate in the local school fair of the school they are zoned to attend. If that school does not offer a science fair, the student should participate in the next nearest local school fair. This also applies to private school students whose school does not offer a science fair. Please email Dr. Christian Cali ([email protected]) if you need help contacting your locally-zoned school.
An overview in-depth video for teachers/students covering the forms and rules is found in the "Teacher Resources" folder below. Students may also wish to use Harrison High School's student-created website for additional ideas and help: https://cobbsciencefairresources.weebly.com/ Teacher Resources: Local School Fairs
